Internet Download Manager, short form is IDM. Nowadays, this is one and only most used download manager among all. Lots of internet users are a part of it and using it as a default downloading application. I think, there's no need to more explain its features and benefits here. Because we all are well aware from it.
It's a very useful downloading tool that every user use it to download any type of file like ISO, RAR, NOTE etc. You can also download a huge amount of data in GBs easily through it. But time and speed depend on your internet connection. Even after a best connection, although if your downloading speed is very slow in IDM then you need to set up few things in it.
Actually, when you download IDM then it's all settings or functions normally set up officially. So, there might be possible that you've a good internet connection, but downloading speed is slow. So, it's not a fault of your internet. You just need to change few settings in the internet download manager. After that, your speed will be increased.
I know about two ways to speed up. First is an internal procedure. I mean, you need to change setting in the Internet Download Manager and Second is an external way that I shown below. Ways To Speed Up Internet Download Manager
Here are two methods, as I said above. So I shared one by one. Follow the procedure perfectly and don't forget to share it, if you find help here.
Method #1)
As I said first method is an internal. You need to change a little setting internally in IDM. So to do that open your IDM first then go to the 'Downloads' option that's provided in home menus.
After that a drop down will open, here click on 'Speed Limiter' and then 'Turn OFF'.
Now again open your IDM and then again go to the 'Downloads' option. In drop-down menu, click on 'Option'.
After that action, a separate dialog box will open. Here find 'Connection' option at the top of right as shown in below image.
Now click on a drop down option here and then select your internet connection. If you've a low speed then select first, but if you're using 3G, Bluetooth, wi-fi etc then select second but if you've a high internet connection like me then select your own connection and then click on OK. That's it!
Method #2)
As I said in start, second method is an external procedure. For that, you need to download an optimizer. So to download this optimizer go to this link, then unmark an option that shown in image and then click on 'Download', exact like below image.
Once the optimizer downloaded then simply open it. First thing, I like the most that it doesn't require any type of installation or useless formalities. So download it and then open. After opening, it will look like below image. Simply click on 'Maximize Now!'. That's it!
Final Opinion
So this is what that wanted to show. I know about only two ways that are reliable and working. You can also see an example in main first image. I downloaded a firefox setup from Filehippo and speed had been increased up to 7MB/sec, after applying these two ways. So, you guys also check this and give your own views about it via comment below. mdm.exe*32 is the machine debug manager. The process normally starts, whenever operating system starts, which is used by the Windows NT Option Pack and Microsoft Developer Studio to provide application debugging. Is This A Harmful Process or Virus?
Actually, it enables due to the internet explorer Script Debugging. It means, the process directly links with it. It's not a virus and not a harmful process. But if you have a Graphics card or GPU is installed in your device then it may harmful. Because it increases the temperature of graphics card. I've faced this issue and a GPU is also installed in my PC. So, whenever it enabled in my computer then my graphics card temperature increased up to 75-78°C that could burn your graphics card.
When this process enables, so you can't play games or can't down the more load on your graphics card. Futhermore, it also reserves CPU usage and physical memory of your device. So, if you've a low end PC then first disable it and then continue your work. Otherwise, you may have to lose your computer.
How To Disable mdm.exe*32 Process In Windows 7?
As i said above, this process directly links to the Internet Explorer. So definitely it will disable from it. To do that you have to disable from two different locations. First is the 'Internet Explorer' and second is the 'Registry Editor'. In actual, The file mdm.exe is located in a subfolder of "C:\Program Files\Common Files" or sometimes in a subfolder of the "My Files" folder (usually C:\Windows\System\ or C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug\). But you just have to disable from my mentioned two places. So to do that follow below.
1. Disable From The Internet Explorer
To disable this process from the internet explorer, first open your Internet Explorer and click on the Setting icon at the right of the Top and go the 'Internet Options'.
When you'll click on it then a separate tab will be appeared. Here click on the 'Advanced' option like below image.
After that find 'Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)' and 'Disable Script Debugging (Other)' under the options of Settings. Once you got them then simply mark on both and click on 'Apply'. That's it!

2. Disable From The Windows Registry
To disable from the Windows Registry, first open the Run by pressing Window + R keys.
Once the Run has been opened then type regedit here and click on OK.
After that action, Windows Registry will open. Here navigate the following keys at the left pane.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run
Once you reached to the Run then click on it and find 'MDM7' key at right pane. Once you got then delete it. Now exit the registry and Reboot your computer.

Final Words
mdm.exe*32 is not a harmful process actually, but it may become. As I tell you above, if a graphics card is installed in your device then you should disable it as soon as possible. So, these were two different steps to disable mdm.exe*32 process. Hope I explained all steps fine. Now you can search any link directly from the taskbar in your default browser. Just type a link and the search result will show up in a window in the default browser.

Toggle between running Programs on the Desktop:
I think this won’t be new to many people as this functions is inherited from Windows XP. But its still there in 7 and 8.1.
Just press alt button on the keyboard and start press in TAB key, a box showing the running programs will appear. Now you can easily toggle between programs, without touching the taskbar.
Increase no, of items in the jump lists:
Want to have a lot of recents in your jump list. Goto Taskbar properties> jump lists. Here just select the number of recent items you want and just click apply.
Search More Effectively:
Most of windows 8 users might miss the 7 and XP style of searching. But 8.1 might surprise you with its more effective search trick.
Just click the search tab in the top right corner of the Windows Explorer. After clicking it search tools will appear in the top left section in the menu bar just besides the view option.
